FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Chelsea started school today at St Pauls School. She said that she felt a little nervous this morning but when I dropped her off she looked right at home with all the wee girls gathered around her making her feel welcome. When I picked her up, the teacher said that Chelsea had had a great day and that she is "on to it!". Also that Chelsea was just lovely and once she started talking on a subject she was quite hard to stop! :) She couldn't wait to show me her homework bag and pull out her very first reading book. We actually sat on the step right outside the classroom when I picked her up and she took me through the whole thing. She had a fantastic day and is very excited about it all. Long may it continue... into her teens hopefully! :)

Adsta...

It is the 1st of August 2011. A whole year has gone since you passed away. At times it is still hard to believe. Thankfully there is a massive part of you running around here. She is so much like you and she remembers so much. Just the other day we heard a song in the car by Pitbull and Chelsea said... Daddy would love this song wouldn't he! He would be dancing in the car!.. So very true. I wanted to post something on behalf of Chelsea, from a daughter to her Daddy, that you are very much missed and will never be forgotten.

We think of Adam/Daddy every day and I thought it was time to start posting some photo's of his little girl for family and friends to see and smile at how much she is like him in looks and sometimes personality as you will see in the video below. We spent 11 days in Sydney in January and there are some neat photo's from our time there. Tenielle and Herdy will be putting a video on for you all shortly but in the meantime I thought you might like the photo and video below.

This is Chels and her wee friend Eden just before they go into the hall for dancing lessons. They love it! Although you will see from the video that sometimes Chels just loves the camera that much more. :)

On 1 August 2010, our family received the tragic news of Adam passing away. His funeral was held on Friday, 13 August 2010. Sarah and Chelsea flew over to spend some time with their Aussie Family. Here is a little something we put together for our beloved Adsta.

THE CONCERT!

On Sunday 9 May Chelsea got up and sang at her Poppies concert in front of a large crowd. It wasn't practiced at all but Chelsea said she would like to sing on the stage with a pink microphone and so she did. We didn't think that she would get up once she saw all of the people but she didn't hesitate one bit. In fact, we were sitting right up the back of the hall and when Poppies said her name she jumped up and ran all the way past the people and up the stairs onto the stage. I didn't catch her saying hello to everybody unfortunately or the applause afterwards but the crowd was in raptures. She is going to be a star! :)

Just a couple of photos for you all to view. Here is Chelsea with the twins Madison and Lachlan who came for the day this week. They play really well together and had a great time dressing up, baking biscuits (only eating about a quarter of the mixture!), drawing and dancing and then we all jumped in my wee car and went to McMillans to see the Kuni Kuni pig and for a fluffy. A good day had by all. The bottom photo is one of my favourites of Chels. She's in her new tracksuit sent over from Grandma.

Chelsea and Daddy (March 2010)

Had a great visit to see Chelsea in March 2010. Little Munchkin was beautiful as always, settling in well to her new kindergarten. Had some fun at Chipmunks, At the Beach, On the Internet and Watching Movies (Chels loved Back to the Future and Never Ending Story!) Little Chels also loved going to Cobb and Co for dinner with daddy and mummy.

Happy Easter everyone! Chelsea and I went to see Snow White this afternoon - a local production which was actually very good. Chelsea loved it and sat through pretty much the whole thing. I managed to catch a snap of Chels with Snow White at half time.

A trip to Natureland with Mum! We had a great morning at Natureland.. Chels particularly loved the possum that was hidden away in a tree with a little flap that you can lift up to see him. Even though he was meant to be asleep, he untucked his head and poked his head out to say hi to Chels.. she did yell pretty loud to get him to wake up so I wasn't too surprised! :)

Will have to start at January and work backwards I'm afraid. I have this fantastic video of Chelsea singing "we wish you a merry christmas" which looks great on the camera but when I tried it on the computer it was in slow motion and there was no sound. I have no doubt that there is a simple way to fix this but I am not the best one to work that out. Anyway, will try and put it on next time and hopefully it'll work for you all.

Here is Chelsea at Anelise's birthday party on the 2nd of January. It was a Strawberry Shortcake tea party and I'm not sure that the photo does the table setting any justice. It was absolutely gorgeous and the girls (Jess, Munchkin, Anelise & Sienna) loved it! Unfortunately I've managed to cut Sienna out! I do have an awesome photo of her though after zooming down the water slide which I will put on. Cupcakes were the favourite of the day I think.

Merry Christmas to Chelsea Girl!

Now she is a little bit older, Chelsea really appreciated everything on Christmas day. Tonnes of presents to open and hours playing, she had a ball. Weather was good and it was super special to spend some precious time with the most amazing girl in the world.

We've had a busy couple of weeks with visitors! We've had Debs from Australia over to stay with us and Aunty Jane and Ava have been here as well (photo's will be posted next time). Tash, Anelise and Sienna were down too the week before that. Here are some photo's of Chelsea playing with the girls and also "Logan the dog" who is the most obedient dog you could ever meet and allowed Chelsea to walk him all over the park. There are also a few photo's of a previous visit at Tahuna Beach. Enjoy!

Here are Chels, Anelise and Sienna dancing on the stage at Washbourne Gardens in Richmond. They had heaps of fun on that stage, they were on it for ages and it took a bit of convincing to get them off it!

Here is Chelsea with Logan. Tash's sister Debbie has done some amazing training - he is very obedient and geat with the kids. They all threw him the ball and he nudges it back with his nose and gives it back again. He probably would have done that all day!

I don't have a computer as handy as Daddy but I will do my best to update this every week for Ad and for Chelsea. Chelsea Joy Sutcliffe Nearly 2 Years Old!

It's hard to believe little CJ will turn 2 next Tuesday (14th October) - time certainly flies.

I wrote a little poem for Chelsea, as it's amazingly hard not being able to see her on her birthday. (I look forward to being there for Christmas, which is the next best thing!)

Chelsea and Daddy

There’s nothing in the world more precious than you
Your smile, laughter and intelligence always shine through

There is never a moment, I don't think about you
No mountain, distance or river I wouldn't swim through

While our time together is now limited and sometimes a little tough
Quality time, love and happiness remain there for us.

I love you Chelsea girl.

While you are too young to understand these words,
this poem will keep our love as free as the birds.

If ever you need me, no matter the time or place,
I will come running so you can see my face.

One day we'll look upon this and share many grins,

Fathers Day Sept 2008;

Daddy and Chelsea spending time in Mapua, on the 'Corru-Gate' farm. Chelsea had fun running around with the sheep and new born lamb (never could quite get close enough to pat them!)

Chelsea also loved the swings and trampoline. Also got to feed the horse across the road we aptly named Phar Lap and Chelsea also loved the Shark themed bathroom - where the owners had decked the place out totally with corrugated iron (including the shark!)

Heres a few photos of Chelsea after getting her first hair cut. She only got her fringe trimmed, mum and dad didn't want to get her hair cut - but her fringe as so long and Chelsea kept taking hair clips and elastics out of her hair and eating them! So it was off to the barber shop.

Chelsea Joy has settled into New Zealand life well and is loving the open spaces and fresh air. Here is a video of Chelsea in the bath tonight. Chelsea has started baby swimming lessons now and had her first session in the pool earlier this week. She loved it! She got used to going under water and holding her breath, then got more confidence and was able to swim away from mum with the floaties on!

Here she is a couple of days ago talking to the dog in Mum and Dad's doorway. No matter how much she yells at him, he doesn't chat back! She just can't work it out! She loves him and pulls herself over to him every opportunity she can get.

Here she is sitting up on her own, playing with one of her favourite toys (thanks Uncle Wayne and Auntie Jane). It's an easy one for her to hold on to and to chew down on... plus it has a little mirror on the back so that she can see her cheeky face. :)

Chelsea's little friend Olivia Douglas came to visit today. Olivia is 7.5 months and Chelsea has just turned 6 months. They had a lovely time! :)

What a lovely photo below!!! It's a goodie Narelle! A bit better than the 5 you took of me with my eyes closed. Eventually, with the flash off, we managed to get one with my eyes open - you'll be pleased to know Tan Tan... hehehe!

About 5.5 months here...so cute!!!

Chelsea Girl!

Sorry for the delay in pictures here - we've just upgraded to ADSL2 Internet here, and there was a bit of downtime in last week while everything was hooked up.

Little Chelsea girl here, as Daddy puts a flannel on her head! It took about 1 minute for Chelsea to rip it off herself.

Grandpoppy Pete and Chelsea here - little bub is just about to go off to bed here. Just had her bath.

Here is Chelsea Joy up at Uncle Rods and Aunty Kerry's place today. It was beautiful under the Bali Huts and beside the beach entry pool! Little Chelsea was king of the castle in her high chair and all of us had some nice wines and Elijah Craig Bourbon (Thanx Christina!)

Our little munchkin is doing well, getting more beautful every day. She just loves going for a cruise in her stylish pram! Chelsea also loves playing in her motorised swing which we picked up from Toys R Us for a bargain price - this little swing will also sing her favourite nursery rhymes, it's very cool! We're trying hard not to spoil her too much, but it doesn't seem to be working well.

Chelsea has just started pulling this funny little face - she screws up her nose and purses up her lips and says "bwooo"... very cute!

Everything she touches goes straight into her mouth. She tried to suck our lovely elderly neighbours cheek today but after finding that was bit tricky she was finally satisfied when she found Cec's shoulder instead. :)

My beautiful friend Tanya (alias Tan Tan) came round for a visit last weekend. Chelsea gave her a bunch of smiles and enjoyed a cuddle... we're sure she remembers Tanya's voice from our chatting every day at work whilst I was pregnant (not that we chatted much or laughed much ay Tan Tan!! yeah right! hehehe).
